Hmmm, well I don't run but I sure do get tired. Maybe I should take a walk instead of a nap!!

Thanks again for your ideas!!!!!

For me, it's not so much about putting my tired on hold, but my fear. Since my husband's death two years ago, I am discovering many new things about myself. I've had to take charge and start a new life. Putting my fear on hold could allow this journey to be more interesting in the future.

Yes, I can only imagine all you must be discovering about yourself through that. I think we are trained to stop when we feel fear, when actually we need to learn to move even amidst fear. I like your analogy of putting it on hold. Acknowledging it is there and just finding a place for it to sit while you move thru the next step. Every time you move thru fear, you gain more confidence in those parts of you you didn’t know were there. Discovering a new part of you.

So true, about moving through the fear and discovering new parts of me. It's kind of fun - in in away - discovering what I am capable of accomplishing.

I have to agree with you there, Karen. We definitely hardly know ourselves, and the way we continue to discover those hidden parts is by saying yes to new things, by getting uncomfortable in the little ones, and by challenging ourselves to find that next level that is our best self.

I can so relate to being in a place/doing things personally and professionally that the me ten years ago could have never envisioned. And I really love the idea of looking ahead and wondering what me ten years from now will be up to. Trajectory-wise thanks to personal growth, it's looking really good.

Loved the newsletter this week, Karen! I'm looking forward to the next.

Thanks for sharing these thoughts Letty. I agree. I love that you’re exploring & open & having fun with the journey of personal development & offering that guidance to others on their journeys. When we realize how far we’ve come, it makes it clear that truly anything is possible if we are just open to exploring.

I'm 46 and I just started running last year! Ten years ago I weighed 100 pounds more and drank way too much. If you had told me then that today I'd have a few years of sobriety under my belt and be hooked on obstacle course racing, I'd have laughed so hard!

I also just finished The 12 week year, that was your recommendation, wasn't it? Fantastic and now I'm ready to tackle the next hard thing! Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE that! About the same age as I was when I started. What amazing transformations you have made! That's awesome! And yes, I loved that book! Can't wait to hear what you take on next!
