I love the approach of taking care of your self before you feel you need to. The line, “it is a practice” really jumped out at me.
So many different cultures and communities within our society look at self care as an indulgence. I did for the majority of my life and then when my health took a nose dive I really had to change that because for me to live a somewhat “normal” life I have to be ahead of my condition, constantly caring for my body.
It’s been a tough learning curve; however, I’m grateful for the lesson. I’m going to give the podcast episode a listen.
